Comparison results and improved quantified inequalities for semilinear elliptic equations

چکیده
In this paper, we prove some pointwise comparison results between the solutions of some secondorder semilinear elliptic equations in a domain Ω of Rn and the solutions of some radially symmetric equations in the equimeasurable ball Ω∗. The coefficients of the symmetrized equations in Ω∗ satisfy similar constraints as the original ones in Ω. We consider both the case of equations with linear growth in the gradient and the case of equations with at most quadratic growth in the gradient. Moreover, we show some improved quantified comparisons when the original domain is not a ball. The method is based on a symmetrization of the second-order terms.

Existence and multiplicity of positive solutions for a class of semilinear elliptic system with nonlinear boundary conditions
This study concerns the existence and multiplicity of positive weak solutions for a class of semilinear elliptic systems with nonlinear boundary conditions. Our results is depending on the local minimization method on the Nehari manifold and some variational techniques. Also, by using Mountain Pass Lemma, we establish the existence of at least one solution with positive energy.

We obtain sharp pointwise estimates for positive solutions to the equation −Lu+V u = f , where L is an elliptic operator in divergence form, q ∈ R\{0}, f ≥ 0 and V is a function that may change sign, in a domain Ω in R, or in a weighted Riemannian manifold.
